The main point that i would like to emphasise is that the grammar and correct understanding of English in our majority of students has been low. Spoken English for the majority is a challenge. Students have been learning poetry in the form of a song. Only grasping the superficial emotion, and most of them learn by heart the meter, rhyme, literary devices used- without proper understanding. Shakespeare teaching was a big challenge, as they are not in the habit of speaking the language aloud. Shakespeare wrote dramas, which need to be read aloud to get the emotions and character. I am passionate about Shakespeare and poetry, so i make the students go deeper and pick up all nuances. They can then do better in exams.
