I learned Yoga when I was 16 and I have been practising Yoga regularly. Having reaped immense benefits, I trained to become a Yoga teacher. I am teaching online via Zoom since a year now. Before COVID, I had been teaching offline too. I recently retired from service and would like to spend more time passing on the skills I know to improve an individual physically, mentally and emotionally. Besides Yoga, Food and Nutrition is another area of interest to me. Now that the world has recognised how much Yoga can enhance one’s life, every Indian should be proud and practice Yoga as well! It’s our heritage!

Start with asanas that strengthen the leg muscles—chair pose, Setu Bandhasana, and so on. Also, breathing practices are important as pain, and some diseases are due to disordered breathing. Meditation, too, would help you immensely.

Work on strenghtening the muscles of the legs with asanas like paschimottanasana, dhanurasan, setu bandha sarvangasana, etc. Include regular pranayamas, which will help you relax and help deal with day to day st... ...more
