Does the VBA code syntax change when you update MS Office?

no, it doesn't. It could be possible, but Microsoft cares too much about backward compatibility, so it doesn't change it. But of course it can add new features. If you were talking about changing the syntax of a macro already coded: no, that doesn't happen neither nor should happen in any language
