It depends on which field of Civil Engineering you want to pursue. There are a couple of courses that might need to take. This differs from one domain to another. If you're opting for structural engineering, then you should have good knowledge in softwares like STAAD, AUTOCAD etc. In Quality Control and Quality assurance, you can take up practical courses which involve experiments and projects involving testing. There are a number of QC tests, which you should know in detail. Apart from these, you can also read about Infrastructure Finance, Project Finance, Construction Planning and Management. These topics are fundamentally different from the specialised courses, and it will provide you with a new perspective to see the construction industry. read less
