Most important things to remember while doing VLOOKUP! (Donts..)

Make sure there are no unwanted or additional spaces in between the words or afterwards

Example: Robert   Smith_

Note:  To show the additional spaces I have underlined the entire words.  Don’t miss to observe the spaces after ‘Robert’ there are two spaces, and after ‘Smith’ there is one space.

TABLE_ARRAY should always be in the left & the COL_INDEX (result/data retrieving) should be on the right side.

LOOKUP VALUE should exactly match with TABLE ARRAY VALUE

Example: A F station Yelahanka was entered as AF station Yelahanka which is a mismatch.

                  Agaraa was entered as Agara

Make sure the numbers are in right alignment if it's in left alignment then its converted to text format. Which needs to be converted back to number format if not will receive an error as given #NA.
