How do I resize a column in Excel?

Double click on the right border of a column where column labels (A,B,C etc.) exists. It will resize the column to max width of text in it. Other way is to select the column, right click on it and select Column width property. Give the size you want and click on OK.

HI anand, Please follow these steps to resize a colomn 1.Hover the mouse between two columns or rows until the cursor looks like a bi-directional arrow. 2.Double-click the left mouse button. Your column or row will resize to fit the largest cell in that column or row.

To do so just by keyboard: - Press ctrl+space bar (to select the column or range of columns) - Press the right click button (available on most keyboards these days) - Press W (to select column width option) & set the width you want by increasing or decreasing the number therein
