My name is Kartik, I have 6 years of experience in Data analysis. I have experience on BI, Trackwise, Siebel and Oracle, Ms Access for fetching reports and for visualisation of data we use MS excel. Hi Kartik, It is very good to know your experience in the field of Data Analytics. You just master those skills so that it is easy to sell your skill. I believe you are good at BIG DATA. If you possess the Architect level in the BIG DAGA/HADOOP it will fetch you good jobs in the IT world. Please think of it and invest your spare time in nurturing these skills and be valueable resource. Certification is only for the recruiters not for you. Dear Kartik, For a successful career in Analytics you must have some or all of these skills. 1) Advanced Excel (for Dashboarding, Reporting, Visualization and Data sharing): This you already know I guess. But you have to assess your expertise level and decide if you need to brush-up your excel skill or attend a training session. 2) SQL: This is for handling data and creating summarized data to analyze with ease. 3) R Programming: This includes Data Preparation, EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis), Feature Engineering and Statistical Modelling. Alternative you may also explore Python. 4) Tableau: This is a Visualization tool and story-boarding and visualization of data for ease of consumption and sharing with broader audience group. 5) VBA Macro: This is not a mandatory skill for Analytics but good to have.
