Q) Has it ever happened:
1) You copied something
2) (did not paste) Performed another action
e.g. typed something OR deleted something
3) Next, tried to paste, however, instead, received an error sound

 

Clipboard Option will help in such situations.

 

- To open Clipboard task pane


Step 1: Click on Home tab
Step 2: Clipboard group > click on right-bottom corner of Clipboard group
Result: You will see copied items in this pane.

 

- To Paste:


Step 1: Select the cell where You would like to paste
Step 2: Click on the particular item
Result: Item is pasted on the selected location

 

- Troubleshooting 1:


Step 1: In Clipboard task pane, at the left-bottom corner, click on Options.
Few Options will appear.
Step 2: Tick-mark following option: Collect Without Showing Office Clipboard

 

- Troubleshooting 2:
If You do not see copied items appear in Clipboard, Open Clipboard task pane once, and Close it.
(Hopefully) Hereafter, You should see copied items in Clipboard
