Is a lateral entry scheme available in any government institute for the MCA entrance exam?

Programming Tutor (NIT graduate, 8 years experience in teaching)

This scheme is only available in IGNOU, SMU and few other universities. But in most of the recognized universities like NITs, this scheme is not available. In IGNOU also this is only allowed to students who have pursued BCA from IGNOU only.
