What is the importance of work experience for going through IIMs? What problems will I face if I directly go for MBA without work experience?

It gives you an edge during interview as your interview will be centred around work experience. If you go directly without work experience then you are in a large pool of candidates

There is no age for the growth and further studies if you are determined to do it it is a good.

It is a bit difficult for non maths student. But not an impossible task. You need to plan and work hard.
