Hi Abhishek, Yes, it is possible to crack CAT without any coaching. And, many students I know who have cracked this exam without any coaching. Get study material from any one of - IMS / TIME / Career Launcher. Finish them completely. These are sufficient. Use previous 10 year questions for practice....

Keep your basics clear and always remember “this is just an exam”. Students who keep calm score better. As far as my experience goes,anyone who has cracked CAT without coaching is never a student with bad academics.Consider a person from a top-tier engineering college.That person will almost certainly be good at Maths (and thus,DILR).So the only area which might create issues is English.And that section...

As far as my experience goes,anyone who has cracked CAT without coaching is never a student with bad academics.Consider a person from a top-tier engineering college.That person will almost certainly be good at Maths (and thus,DILR).So the only area which might create issues is English.And that section needs rigorous self study.I know people who have cracked CAT without coaching and those who couldn't even after studying in the best coaching institute.So it basically depends on a particular student's current capability. read less
