Experience in School or College
I have been teaching at Tripura Central University for the last three years. As a media student and scholar, I have been engaged in teaching Mass Communication-related subjects such as journalism, media ethics, communication theories, and digital media at the university level. My academic background, combined with practical experience in journalism, allows me to provide students with both theoretical insights and real-world perspectives. In addition to higher education, I also have a keen interest in teaching school students, particularly in areas related to media literacy and basic communication skills. In today’s digital age, it is essential for young learners to understand how media works, how to critically evaluate information, and how to become responsible media users. I can simplify complex media concepts for children and introduce them to the basics of news, digital content, social media awareness, and ethical communication through engaging and age-appropriate methods. This early exposure can help students become more informed, expressive, and confident in their interaction with media in everyday life.

Teaching Experience in detail in Class I-V Tuition
Over the past ten years, I have been actively involved in the teaching profession alongside my career in journalism. Before joining Tripura University as a Guest Faculty, I regularly taught school students up to Class X, with a particular emphasis on Social Sciences. My work with students from Class I to Class V has been a significant part of this journey. My approach to teaching young learners has always been grounded in patience, clarity, and creativity. I believe the primary school years are crucial for laying the foundation of academic growth and curiosity. While teaching students from Class I–V, I focused on key subjects like Environmental Studies (EVS), History, Civics, and Geography, using simple explanations, real-life examples, and storytelling techniques to make lessons relatable and engaging. For students in these early grades, I emphasized activity-based learning, including map activities, drawing-based lessons, role-playing (for historical events or civic situations), and short quizzes to help reinforce concepts in a fun, memorable way. I also paid close attention to individual learning styles, adapting my methods to suit each child’s pace and comfort. Apart from subject knowledge, I focused on improving students’ reading comprehension, writing skills, and general awareness, which are essential at the primary level. I regularly interacted with parents to discuss student progress and areas for improvement, ensuring that learning continued smoothly at home as well. My students have shown measurable improvement in their academic performance and a growing interest in Social Studies. Many of them returned for guidance in higher classes, reflecting the trust built during their foundational years. Overall, my experience with Class I–V students has helped me develop strong teaching instincts, particularly in simplifying complex ideas for young minds. It has also deepened my understanding of child-centric teaching methods and the importance of nurturing curiosity and values at an early age.
