Dear, you may read that light rays coming from very far(infinity) strike on the mirror and pass through focus. These rays are parallel rays coming from infinity which pass through an emphasis on striking on the mirror. This phenomenon is just the reverse of that.
Light rays originate at focus and after sticking on mirror produce parallel rays.
