It is as per my understanding, the study of physical objects and their interactions with other objects. It is mostly about the physical nature of objects, chemical compounds or atoms. 
That is why physics subject contains Gravity, motion study, Energy, Proton, electron and neutron & their interactions and so on. 
The main applications of studying the physical nature like an atomic and nuclear explosion, electricity and so on are very interesting subjects in science. since most, scientific phenomena have been explained with the theories of physics. 

No subject is superior or inferior. It is based on the exam only. For example, Biology students can score good marks both in biology and chemistry but they are unbale to score in Physics. Similarly, MPC studetns can score good marks in mathamatics and chemistry compare to physics. Hence some physicists feel/think biology is inferior than physics. But the truth is every subject has its own importance. 

Physics is so interesting because,

• It studies the nature
  Nothing explains nature better than physics. Every other field is just a branch of physics. For example, biology is the branch of chemistry and chemistry is one of the branches of physics. Anything you see can only be explained by physics. When an apple falls on a person who could think of gravity other than a physicist.
• Many inventions which were thought to be impossible were made possible by physics
  When Thomas Edison invented the phonograph, people thought he was using black magic. Many even called him, "The Wizard of Menlopark". Nobody believed that it's possible to create something like that. Only physicists could do that.
