Experience in School or College

Working as a school teacher has been one of the most meaningful journeys of my life. Every day in school is a mix of challenges, learning, and small victories that often go unnoticed but make a big impact. When I first started teaching, I thought it was just about delivering lessons and completing the syllabus. But I quickly realized it’s much more than that. In school, a teacher plays many roles — educator, mentor, counselor, sometimes even a friend. Students look up to us not just for knowledge, but also for guidance, encouragement, and understanding. One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching is seeing students grow — not only academically, but also as individuals. Watching a shy student slowly gain confidence, or seeing a struggling learner finally understand a difficult topic, brings a satisfaction that’s hard to put into words. Of course, it’s not always easy. Managing large classrooms, dealing with different learning styles, handling administrative tasks, and keeping up with curriculum changes can be exhausting. There are days when things don’t go as planned — lessons fall flat, students act out, or the workload feels overwhelming. But those moments are balanced out by the gratitude in a student’s smile or the joy of seeing improvement in someone who had once given up. School is not just a workplace — it’s a second home. Colleagues become a support system, and the bonds formed with students often last for years. The staff room becomes a place to share both frustrations and funny stories. Over time, I’ve learned that patience, empathy, and adaptability are just as important as subject knowledge. More than anything, teaching in a school reminds me that education is not just about exams — it’s about shaping character, nurturing curiosity, and inspiring a lifelong love for learning. Every batch of students leaves a mark, and every school year brings new lessons — for the teacher as much as the taught.

Teaching Experience in detail in Class 12 Tuition

At this level, the pressure on students is intense — board exams, entrance tests like NEET and JEE, and the general expectation to “perform.” As a teacher, I see it as my responsibility not just to cover the syllabus, but to guide, motivate, and support them through this crucial phase. Every batch is different. Some students come in with a strong foundation, while others struggle even with the basics. My first task is always to assess where they stand — not just academically, but in terms of confidence and attitude. Chemistry especially in Class 12, can be intimidating. Topics like electrochemistry, organic reaction mechanisms, and coordination compounds often scare students. So I focus on building conceptual clarity before diving into rote memorization. In tuition classes, I have more flexibility than in school settings. I can spend extra time on tough topics, give more practice problems, and provide individual attention. I use visual aids, daily-life examples, and regular quizzes to keep students engaged. I also encourage them to ask questions — no matter how basic — because clearing doubts early prevents bigger problems later. One of the biggest challenges is breaking the fear of organic chemistry. I’ve found that once students understand the logic behind reaction mechanisms and learn how to identify functional groups, their confidence grows quickly. Frequent practice and revision are key, and I make sure to schedule weekly tests and doubt-clearing sessions. What I enjoy most is watching students transform. Some who began the year with low scores and low morale gradually start solving problems confidently, asking deeper questions, and sometimes even helping their peers. That growth — both academic and personal — makes all the late evenings and early mornings worth it. Ultimately, teaching Class 12 Chemistry isn’t just about finishing the syllabus. It’s about helping students believe in themselves, teaching them how to study smart, and preparing them for life beyond school.
