I am Paramita D, a passionate artist and art educator with over 10 years of experience in teaching painting and drawing. Art has been an integral part of my life, and I take great joy in sharing my knowledge and creative experiences with students of all ages. My aim is to help learners discover their artistic potential, develop their skills, and gain confidence in expressing themselves through art.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree and am a practicing artist based in Kolkata. Alongside teaching, I actively pursue my own artistic work, which allows me to stay connected with contemporary art practices and continuously refine my skills. This combination of professional artistic experience and teaching enables me to provide students with both technical knowledge and practical insights into the world of art.

Over the past decade, I have trained students from diverse backgrounds, ranging from complete beginners to advanced learners. My experience has taught me that every student has a unique creative style and learning pace. I focus on identifying individual strengths and guiding students accordingly, helping them build a strong foundation while encouraging them to explore and develop their own artistic voice.

My areas of expertise include acrylic painting, watercolour painting, oil painting, ink art, charcoal drawing, pencil sketching, fabric painting, glass painting, and leather painting. Through systematic training and hands-on practice, I help students understand the techniques, materials, and creative processes involved in each art form. I believe that mastering the fundamentals is essential for artistic growth and long-term success.

I conduct both online and offline classes, making art education accessible and convenient for students with different schedules and preferences. My sessions are designed to be interactive, practical, and engaging, with a strong emphasis on learning through observation and practice. I guide students step by step, ensuring that they gain confidence while steadily improving their artistic abilities.

As a practicing painter, I bring real-world artistic experience into my classes. I share insights into composition, colour theory, texture creation, shading techniques, and creative problem-solving, helping students understand not only how to create artwork but also how to think like artists. My goal is to inspire creativity while equipping students with the technical skills necessary to achieve their artistic aspirations.
