I commenced my career in the field of market research and business analysis in 2004, serving various corporations for nearly a decade.From 2014 to 2017, I collaborated with several colleges affiliated with Calcutta University as a guest lecturer, teaching subjects such as Microeconomics, International Economics, Statistics, and Econometrics. During this period, I also conducted large-scale group-based private tuition.Between 2017 and 2020, I worked as a hired researcher in the field of contemporary art market outside of India.Upon my return to India in 2021, I became associated with multiple Business Schools, where I teach subjects including Marketing Research, Statistics, and Econometrics. Additionally, I guide students in data analysis using software such as R, SPSS, and SAS as a instructor, while also managing my own company operating in the social business sector.

I encountered this issue predominantly in microeconomics classes, and I take great pleasure in addressing this challenge by providing a wide array of examples drawn from everyday events and activities, enabling students to grasp the mathematical principles underlying economic behavior. Furthermore, in statistics and econometrics, students typically disregard the rationale behind studying various models, which adversely affects their approach in problem-solving that ultimately results in lower grades. To address this, I consistently emphasize the fundamental logic involved in studying statistical methods, which aids students in developing a clearer understanding.

I find this to be a challenge that I relish, as I strive to overcome it by providing a wide range of examples drawn from everyday life and activities. Regarding Statistics and Econometrics in the BA program, there is a greater emphasis on the theoretical or mathematical components of the subjects, in stark contrast to the BSc program. Therefore, a solid understanding of mathematical derivation is essential. To facilitate this, I focus on enhancing mathematical perception with greater clarity by using real-world problems as examples, discussing the methods and reasoning behind the chosen solutions. Most importantly, I encourage students to practice regularly, as these subjects are new to them.
