I have been teaching students since 1995. So many students have passed through class VIII. But I remember one student till now who failed in class VIII due to his own negligence in studies. I think I could not instill the habit of studying in him. There was a parent's call. His parents denied to go. I myself went to his school to bring his marksheet referring myself as his uncle. That boy changed from that day. He became so studious that he not only fared well in his board examination but also cleared CA, CS and CFA in first attempt. So, this is one of the memorable experiences that always motivates me and help me to motivates my students.
