Both have separate benifits, face to face is better in the sence if you are not comfortable with online communication process then obviously you should go for face to face, I mean physical classes. But, that has the biggest constraints like availability. Suppose you lives at Delhi and you came to know that there is a very good teacher(coaching Institute) in Chennai or in Kolkata who can teach Mathematics or say English very nicely, but for you it is not possible to attend his/their classes physically. Then the only option is online classes and nowadays because of a huge change (in good sense) in online teaching process and pattern online teaching whether one to one or in group become so much easy and convenient. So, at this moment don't think about the differences between online and offline classes, just see the better availabilities and go for it.
