With over 18 years of dedicated experience in the field of Kathak dance, I bring a deep-rooted passion for this classical Indian art form to my teaching practice. Holding both a BA and MA in Kathak, my journey in dance began during my undergraduate studies, where I was first introduced to the nuances of this graceful and expressive dance style. My education and extensive training have provided me with a solid foundation in Kathak, which I have continuously built upon through rigorous practice and performance.

I have been running my own Kathak dance center, where I offer both online and offline classes. This setup allows me to cater to a diverse range of students, from beginners to advanced practitioners, and provides a nurturing environment for learning. My classes are structured to cover not just the technical aspects of Kathak but also to delve into its rich cultural and historical context. I emphasize practical learning, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience in performing intricate footwork, spins, and expressive gestures that define Kathak.

One of the highlights of my career was being selected by the Ministry of Culture to represent Indian Kathak at a prestigious cultural event in Egypt. This opportunity allowed me to showcase the beauty and complexity of Kathak on an international stage, further enriching my teaching and performance experience.

In addition to regular classes, I also assist students in preparing for yearly examinations, providing certification if required. My teaching approach is interactive and practical, with a strong emphasis on live sessions where students can receive real-time feedback and guidance. I incorporate Kathak notations into my lessons to help students understand and execute the dance forms accurately.

Whether online or in-person, my goal is to inspire and guide students in mastering Kathak, fostering their appreciation for this classical dance form while helping them achieve their personal and artistic goals.
