Do not worry much about the syllabus change of your daughter. She is in the first standard, and she will be able to adapt to the new syllabus quickly than an elder class child. I understand your anxiety, so the best way to help your child is to build her necessary foundation, which will help her to adapt and grasp quickly. At home, if you have time or the tutor you hire for your daughter must make sure that the foundation is strong instead of rushing through the syllabus. Thirty minutes every day if you can spend with her on giving her the basic concepts of alphabets, words, basic arithmetics, it will help her.

Online teaching has become inevitable these days. To answer your question about using a whiteboard, I would say it depends on the age of your students. It is always wise to use a mixture of this, not necessarily whiteboard at least a digital pen so that the attention of the child will be sustained. Powerpoint presentations must be created wisely. Otherwise, it will turn boring for children very soon.

Usually, to get a grab of everyday daily use phrases that are used in Kannada, it might take you around one month if you don't have any prior knowledge about the language. To be able to converse in Kannada for a solid 10 minutes, it will take you around three months.
