Define “smartly written”. A good JavaScript programmer can write about two lines of code, using the latest ECMAScript, that does the work of ten or twenty lines of code by a mere mortal. But he’d better be working on a project that nobody else will ever need to support. So that’s smart in one sense, dead-ended in another.
