It solely depends upon you, because when you state yourself as a java developer, then it means anything and everything literally. You could be a java developer, java enterprise application developer. Having said that there are hundreds of different java packages that anyone can use and build a standard web services application, a microservice application or an application for big data. You can also use it for e-com applications as well. So it obviously depends on what level you want to operate in. But usually, some people have 2-3 years of experience getting anything from 2 lakhs per annum(In Indian services companies) to 20 lakhs per annum (in companies like Amazon, Walmart labs etc.,) too. For senior resources with more than 12 years of experience, it can vary between 12-15 lakhs per annum too. Many people earn 12 lakhs per annum with ten years of experience and others, making 65 lakhs per annum with just 10-12 years of experience. Everyone is a java developer, but getting a competent java developer is a matter of luck. So companies would pay you highly only if you are an outstanding java developer. read less
