Code Quality consists of various parameters some of the them are Performance, Code readability, extensibility, code reuse and Testability. Simply put lower the cost for maintenance the better is the code quality. There are tools like Junit test cases more the better, PMD, eclEmma, sonar and with right set of rules that can find these issues with the code. We used to have competition to see which developer has the least minor laws broken number as part of code quality but the readability index then can reduce a lot. read less

As Nikhil has already mentioned, Sonar is one of the better tools for code quality.While you can use Jmeter etc for checking performance wise quality of your code.
