I think C is the best , as it is the mother language of all programming language..if u complete project on C then u will get a very good knowledge of C, then i think JAVA...

The good projects are depend on your interest in coding. in Most of the "mainstream" programming languages—such as C, Java, C#, which are used in modern languages including C++, Perl, Python, and PHP.

If you are beginner and you have time available with you, you can start with C / C++ and then go for Java...There are good opportunities in Java but C/C++ builds your foundation for it
