We can use some bootstrap CSS classes and helpers but if we want give style to each UI control, we will need to set the primefaces theme to none. context-param param-name primefaces.THEME /param-name param-value none /param-value /context-param Then we will need to give some style to each component we want. Just using the corresponding classes in each one of the components. The analysis has two major problems, JSF is not what they have been told anymore and second “We recommend teams use simple frameworks and embrace and understand web technologies including HTTP, HTML and CSS.” assumes there is a silver bullet in web frameworks where there is none, but there is a silver bullet for each project type. Things can get really messy for complex form oriented web applications with tons of javascript and css, JSF handles the heavy lifting here. read less
