Following are the golden rule applies to programming in JavaScript: Keep your code neat and readable. Make it easy for other people to read and figure out what you’re doing and why you did it. Write useful comments. Especially comments about what a function does, what arguments it takes and what it returns. Keep your functions simple. If it’s getting too complicated it’s often best to split it up into multiple functions. Employ good error handling techniques. There’s nothing worse than trying to track down an obscure error that should have thrown an exception but you didn’t bother to check user input because who would ever enter that anyway? read less
