Make friends on skyepe, join language communities. 3.First start with listening ->understanding->speaking->reading->writing. like kids learn. 4.I recommend not to use text books because its quite confusing when we compare with our day to day conversation, text books just to pass the exam and certifications. read less

Start first with the alphabets and basic words. Try to identify the things around you in Japanese Language. Also in the beginning make chart of the alphabets and some basic words, sentences and greetings. PS: with learning the Language stay in touch with that country's culture.
