I am having four years of electrical and mechanical experience. Now, I want to switch to the data science field. How can I proceed? Please suggest me a path which can help me.

You can apply for basic python programming first. Then you can do data science easily. It's not compulsory to know C, C++ for data science. Just Object-oriented concepts, which will be provided in Python training as well. All the Best!

It becomes a little tricky in the beginning when you step into data science, as you don't have experience in the IT sector. It becomes a little smooth once you start to get your hands dirty with it. Many languages can be used for data science. Most of the projects are based on python and R programming. There are roughly three job roles(Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Data Analyst) you can fit into once you complete the data science course. Choose the job role you want to enter into and work towards them. Also, get a good grip on probability and Statistics as they play a crucial role.So, I suggest you get some intermediate grip on some programme. read less

To be a data scientist, you have to get computer science knowledge, mainly programming and data structure knowledge, after joining any online data science course, assuming you have already mathematics knowledge if you're a b.tech person.
