Vidya,it varies from student to student.Some are naturally talented and within 3-4 years get ready for a full fledged concert,but for a very average student our advise would be to go step by step.First learn the structured lessons properly for couple of years,then start with Manodharma practise/sadhakam.Meanwhile...
