What can be the ideal speaking band one can score?

9 is obviously the maximum band one can score. An ideal score varies upon the requirement. Generally my students get around 7.5 to 8.

Depends from person to person but I would say 7 is the best to prove you can manage on your own in a foreign country make the people understand you and you understand them.
