Germany is a dream destination for many students around the world, least because of free education. IELTS is not mandatory but it helps. There is a system of dual mode of education in Germany, private and public. Public funded institutions do not require students to pay the fees but c+ level of German language is mandatory. For international students MOI is English, therefore an IELTS or TOEFL score tilts the balance towards the student, as far as admission and visa approval is concerned. So, my advise is apply with the IELTS score. Do not take any chances. Even if your score is lower than what Canada/Australia and other countries need, still apply. read less

Not necessarily. Gemany has education system of publicand private funded colleges and universities. For international students, English if the medium of instructions but IELTS is not mandatory for admission or visa, although preferable.
