Before you begin writing, break down the content into three parts: Planning writing checking Planning: If you haven't done planning and begin writing, you run out of ideas, and the whole context becomes messy, and you're not sure what you want to say anymore. Hence planning is imperative before you begin. It also helps you write faster. Writing: There are about six different types of essays. So don't use the same approach. Understand what type of questions it is. A discussion question, advantage/ disadvantage question. Then analyze the question. Do not give general answers. Be very specific with what you are trying to convey. It's all about quality, not quantity. The main body parts should carry an idea each. First, begin by adding a topic explanation, then follow it with an example and then go with what you want to express. Conclude the essay by expressing your views and summarize your main ideas to support your viewpoint. Checking: Three different checks you want to check- the first check is Grammar. It accounts for 25% of your marks. Identify your main areas of weakness before taking the IELTS test. So the number of mistakes you make reduces comparatively. Readout every paragraph after completing it and then once you've finished the whole essay, recheck it. This won't vex your time but improve the quality of your essay. read less
