SSC is staff selection commission in which the topics should coverd in reasoning ability, quantative ability, logical reasoning. IBPS is bank exam in which additional to ssc topics is english skill, writting skill, banking awareness.

IBPS needs rigorous practice, and only questions from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English and CA/ Financial awareness are asked.. IBPS needs rigorous practice, and only questions from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English and CA/ Financial awareness are asked.. In SSC, questions from above subjects along with General Knowledge (Science, Polity, History, Geography, Economics, CA) will be asked. Vacancies released in both exams are more or less the same. Number of candidates appearing in SSC is way more than IBPS (24 lakhs in SSC v/s. 6 lakhs in IBPS PO in 2022) SSC exams are often top-ranked by repeaters which makes it very challenging to clear the cut offs. Not to forget, there is a typing test and computer awareness quiz in Tier 2 of SSC CGL that often leads to the disqualification of a lot of deserving candidates.
