SBI PO Exam: Tips to ace

SBI Probationary Officer Examination opens your chances to secure a career opportunity with SBI. A career with India’s premier bank comes with methodical preparation for the entrance exam. Apart from being eligible and applying on time, it is also a must to plan the preparation well. Here’s how:

SBI PO Exam

Learn about the Exam: Gain clear knowledge about the exact SBI exam paper pattern and syllabus. Download the syllabus from the official website. This will help you to plan the preparation accurately. Get a hold of the important PO books and resources before starting to study. Try to stick to the study plan as closely as possible. Learn about the dates and duration as well.

SBI PO Online mock test: Several websites provide free mock tests online, take them regularly. Take one at every significant part of your study plan. Taking mock tests will give you confidence on the main day as you will be aware of what exactly to expect. Also, practice the previous year papers. Analyze the paper pattern and the level of difficulty.

Master the basics: Be it, grammar or vocabulary- get your basics right. English section is usually the tricky one with many students failing to perform up to the mark here. Do not make any grammatical errors; make sure your thoughts are presented accurately.

Prepare essay outline: During the study sessions, prepare how to approach the essay question. Clear outline will help you channelize the ideas well. Be sure to refer the previous papers and identify what topics were asked in the essay questions. Write a few down to manage the time well.

Attempt only questions you are sure of: It is risky to attempt unknown questions as there are negative marks. Skip the ones you are unsure of.

Manage your time: During the mock tests, calculate the amount of time you can spend for a question. Do not exceed that. Practice papers well to improve your time. Revise the topics thoroughly to achieve accuracy at a good speed.

Get coached: Whether you join a coaching class or a study group, ensure you are enrolled into anything that results in regular preparation. With study groups and coaching classes, resources and books and tips are a plenty. This helps you clear doubts and stay motivated to prepare well.

Work on health as well. Stay healthy. Eat right and sleep well. Allocate some time in a day for exercise and activities. Physical well being also assists in better frame of mind and stamina for the exam.
