months of dedicated study is enough for clearing any bank exam..Let’s go through each subject separately. 1.Reasoning-First spare a month or two to learn the fundamentals. This is most tricky section as well as most scoring.Books-M.K Pandey(for basic),Arun Sharma Reasoning for CAT(for Advance level). 2.Quant-This section demands only one thing practice.Clear the basics and practice as much as you can increasing your level gradually. But stick to level of bank exams.Best book is M.Tyra for basic level and Quantum CAT by Sarvesh Verma for advance level and practice. 3.English-Read as much as you can.Newspapers(The Hindu),financial magazines(Outlook). Increase your vocabulary. And practice a mock of English section separately on daily basis for six months. 4.General Awareness-For current affairs write daily events on a notepad and revise it regularly either from newspaper or from websites like Bankersadda.com,pagalguy,etc. For banking knowledge best book is A handbook of Banking Information by N.S.Toor.This book will be handy for interview also. Remember clearing prelims is a cakewalk if you learn proper time management. But mains is more about concepts and the level is high and is increasing every year. And most important thing is giving mock tests.Start giving mock test atleast a month and a half before prelims on daily basis and analyse it properly because as they say Its not the no. of mock tests but what you do in between defines your performance in exam. P.S-Be ready for a surprise in mains whether it can be changed pattern or inrcreased difficulty level of question in a particular section.. read less
