Catherine, Scientist, Crustal Deformation Section (GPS Group) CSIR- National Geophysical Research Institute, Hyderabad, India. The aim of my research work was to understand the seismogenesis of eastern Himalaya and the Burmese arc and the tectonic evolution of Indo-Burmese plate boundary using GPS data. My research work was to estimate the GPS measurements of coseismic and interseismic deformation rates, long- term and short term plate convergence rates, and earthquake focal mechanisms and to document the relative plate motion between Indian and Burmese Plates and the role of Churachandpur -Mao fault in the plate boundary deformation.
