When speaking to a client (Indian native American) maintain a constant speed while talking, the slower the better. And also it is best to work on the stress and intonation of the words. For instance the way most Indians pronounce the word 'develop' is often misunderstood by native speakers as double-up. Having said that, constant practice in speaking, listening documentaries, reading blogs does help to build your speech.
