React is a library of javascript that helps you to build a Single Page Application. And Gatsby is a framework that combines react, web pack, sass and something more to help you create an organizing web and easily maintain, improve.
Webpack is also a Nodejs package that you should know. It is used along with babel to compile JSX, es6, flow-type and more.
