You must be aware of Data Explosion that is happening, and the fields related to Data are much in demand despite the pandemic situation. In Human History, 2018 to 2020 have been remarkable years where 400% of the increase in digital traces have been observed. New tools and technologies related to Big Data Systems, Cloud Computing, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence have emerged, helping data storage facilities, making data available at a fraction of costs; analytical tools like Python, R, Hadoop, Tableau, Power BI providing analytical platforms.
I suggest you consider this field because the future is all Data, and many jobs will be lost, and many will be created due to Data emergence.

You have made the right decision to move to the Data Science domain at the right time, but you should be well aware of what you need first. If you want to go as a data scientist, learn Statistics, Python or R for Data Science, Machine Learning, Tableau and Hadoop.
If you want to choose Artificial intelligence, learn Python, Tensor flow Keras, Natural Language Processing, Advanced Computer vision with Advanced Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
If you want to go as a data/business analyst, you need to learn, Tableau or Power BI, Stats, SQL.
