I am Radhika, a passionate Carnatic vocal trainer with 8 years of experience in the field of classical music. My journey into Carnatic music began at a young age, and I have dedicated years to refining my vocal techniques and imparting this rich musical tradition to students of all ages. I hold an M.Sc. degree along with a Diploma in Carnatic Music, which has helped me gain a deep understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of classical singing. Through my structured training methods, I aim to preserve and propagate the beauty of Carnatic music while adapting to modern teaching techniques to make learning engaging and effective. I have worked as a Carnatic vocal trainer in various schools and institutes, where I trained students in classical singing, voice modulation, and performance techniques. My teaching experience in institutions gave me valuable insights into different learning styles, helping me tailor my methods to suit each student's pace and ability. In my quest to provide high-quality music education, I founded my own music academy, Sai Sapta Swara, which currently has two dedicated faculty members. At my academy, I focus on nurturing talent, improving vocal strength, and preparing students for stage performances, exams, and competitions. I offer both online and offline Carnatic music classes, ensuring flexibility for students across different locations. My sessions typically last between 35 to 45 minutes, with a strong emphasis on practical learning. Through interactive exercises and structured vocal training, I guide students in mastering swaras (musical notes), gamakas (ornamentations), and ragas (melodic frameworks). I also train students in the art of bhava (expression), ensuring they not only sing with technical precision but also with emotion and depth. Each session is conducted live, allowing me to provide real-time feedback and corrections. I follow a systematic approach to teaching, starting from basic exercises and gradually progressing to complex compositions, varnams, keerthanas, and kritis. For advanced students, I provide training in manodharma sangeetham (improvisation), an essential skill for Carnatic musicians. I also provide notes and reference materials to help students practice effectively between sessions. My ultimate goal as a Carnatic music teacher is to instill a deep appreciation for this art form and help students develop their own unique voice and musical identity. Whether a student is learning as a hobby or pursuing a professional career in music, I ensure that my guidance is tailored to their aspirations. Through patience, discipline, and dedication, I strive to make Carnatic music an enjoyable and fulfilling journey for every learner.
