A correction in my previous. Previous response is good if only one number is selected. For selecting 3 numbers, probability will be 16C3/100C3 = 16*15*14/100*99*98

A correction in my previous. Previous response is good if only one number is selected. For selecting 3 numbers, probability will be 16C3/100C3 = 16*15*14/100*99*98

Find the equations of the lines which cut off intercepts on the axes whose sum and product are 1 and -6 respectively.

if intercepts are a and b on X and Y axis respectively, then equation will be x/a + y/b = 1 (x and y intercept form) a + b = 1 a*b = -6 By solving above two equations, you get a = -2 and b = 3 So equation of line is: x/a + y/b = 1 x/(-2) + y/3 = 1 -3x + 2y = 6 3x -2y + 6 = 0 There will... ...more
