1 lodestone and pyrrhotite are two natural magnet and pyrrhotite is weakly magnetized. the disadvantages of natural magnet as compared to an artificial magnet are as follows: a- natural magnets only have a limited number of uses as they cannot be present according to our requirements. b- their strength cannot be increased or decreased as per our requirement. c- they cannot be switched on or off when required. 2- Take a magnetic compass and place it close to but not touching your magnet. Watch carefully at where the compass needle points. The point that normally points to the north pole of Earth should point to one end of the magnet. That end is actually the South pole of the magnet.
