Why can't Tamil compete with the Hindi language?

Because hindi is national language and it speaks in all over of india and tamil speaks only some specific areas

Tamils are not able to complete Hindi because there is some distance from the Hindi speaking area and the second thing is that we look at our culture from different perspective, that's why there is a distance from learning Hindi.
