Everyone wants to speak fluently, and trust me; it will only be learnt by practice. It's not a day-night thing, but it takes time.

Communication skills are such a term which itself define it- A skill that comes from practice. So to improve communication skills, the only productive step is to communicate as much as possible. You may follow specific steps:

• You can join any English speaking course where you will be provided with an environment to communicate but only through English.
• Face the mirror and speak, act and talk to yourself.
• Watch English/Hindi(preferable language) series and try to imitate them.
• Irfan Khan mentioned he never took English classes, but he called on customer care service and opted to talk with an English executive. The executive doesn't know you, so why don't you give it a shot.
• Learn one or two sentences or more in a day and try to use that particular sentence as many times as possible in a day.
• Choose a random topic and speak on it and record it to listen and work on yourself.
• Reading improves fluency and also improves speaking skills.
• Decide a topic and discuss it for 10-20 minutes with your siblings/friends/family/.

You will find a thousand ways to solve your problem, but the only solution holder is you. Believe that you can do it, and you will do it. It will not come in a day or two but every day's practice which helps you eliminate shyness and nervousness. It just gets you comfortable with the procedure that it takes nothing to express your thoughts or to communicate. All you just have to do is believe yourself and speak; whatever the language you choose, you are bright.

As the child is ten years old, he will be very interested in the digital world like games, cartoon, movies, imaginary stories, etc. There are the following steps that can help you, but your efforts and time will play a significant role:

1. You can play 'picture games' to show some pictures to him and ask him to try to write and speak a story related to that picture.
2. If he prefers to watch Hindi movies and cartoons, show him one Hindi and then another English film.
3. Make a daily habit of reading English stories, and you can also recite English stories and poem for him; then, you can play question round with him to understand how much he grasps from the story.
4. Ask him to try imitating English sentences that he listens around and watches in cartoons.
5. You can start by giving him a daily task to use a particular sentence at least ten times, like "How are you?" and then add more sentences to his knowledge.
6. Even you can try to play English songs and movies when he is around to become familiar with the language.

These will help you generate his interest in the English language, and then he will have fluency and command over the particular language.
