It should be standard size 40 inches.( Kadence,Cort,or Signature,)you can go for Yamaha or Fender

You shouldn't be worried about brand if your budget is under 10k. Above that look for fender as that's my personal favourite. Specifically Fa-series. If your budget is less then 10k you can go for kadence or cort. If it's less then 7k, go to a music store and try all the guitars they have. Don't worry much about branding, you can buy local. To make sure you bring home the right guitar, look for 1. Make sure to play and check every string from every fret and look for buzzing sound. 2. Make sure the neck or the fret board is completely straight. To make sure this look from the bottom of the guitar while keeping it one you eye level to its neck. 3. Make sure the distance between the strings and fret board is not more the 6mm. read less

Any elementary level guitar with good intonation is good to start with.
