What is the use of amplifier in Guitars?

The world would be more harmonious if only there were more musicians.

As the name suggests, an amplifier amplifies sound. An electric guitar is not made of wood and is not hollow so it needs an amp and a speaker to be heard.

amplifiers are generally used with electric guitars to amplify the sound, as you cannot hear what you are playing.You can connect the amplifier to you acoustic too if your guitar allows it to but it's not highly recommended, but for electric guitars, amplifiers are must :)
