I always start every first guitar lesson with: the body parts of the guitar, the open string names, basic fretting technique and basic strumming technique. These fundamentals are extremely important to get right in the beginning to then build upon later down the track

One of the best resource of learning acoustic guitar is youtube. Accept it or not youtube is the key of learning stuff but without guidance it can be tricky. So start with c major scale, chords, strumming and you good to go

How much time will it take to learn electric guitar?
Completely depends on how much you practice. The instrument gives back what you give to it. Also I feel one keeps on learning. Yes you could start playing chords of your favourite songs in 2 months dedicated practice time.
