Acoustic guitars are hard to learn for pressing the strings on acoustic guitar frets are a little painful to the tips of the fingers and also the best way to start with. Electric guitar strings are easy and needless pressure to press but after you go to the acoustic guitar, it'll become difficult to play propely. read less

Is it bad to learn guitar on a 'mini' guitar?
Learning on a smaller guitar is not a detriment - not in the absolute beginning stages anyway. In some ways, it may actually be easier to play than a full size instrument. Your hands are never too small...
