The difficulty of playing an electric guitar versus an acoustic guitar depends on a few factors, including your playing style, goals, and experience level. However, there are some general differences that might influence how beginners experience each type of guitar: 1. String Tension and Playability: Electric Guitar: Electric guitars generally have lighter gauge strings and lower action (the distance between the strings and the fretboard), making them easier to press down. This can be helpful for beginners, as it requires less finger strength, and you may experience less finger soreness when starting out. read less
